Days until #LSU Football: 84 🐅
Marcus Spears (2001-04) — The Baton Rouge native arrived as a true freshman tight end before moving to the defensive line full-time in 2002. While keeping No. 84 on defense, "Swagu" became a dominant wrecking-ball pass rusher. He anchored the legendary defensive front that powered LSU to the 2003 National Championship, racking up 19 career sacks (tied for 7th in LSU history) and 34.5 tackles for loss before earning Consensus First-Team All-American honors in 2004.
Foster Moreau (2015-18) — A New Orleans product out of Jesuit who wore No. 84 for three seasons before switching to No. 18. Moreau built his reputation as a punishing elite edge blocker before pairing it with clutch receiving skills. He finished his stellar 49-game Tiger career with 52 receptions for 629 yards and six touchdowns, laying the foundational blueprint for the modern physical tight end standard in Baton Rouge.
