When I was in Calgary, a lot of people thanked me for speaking openly about how I feel regarding whatβs happening in our government and our country. They told me it helped them realize they werenβt alone, and that not all of us fit the image that those in power want the rest of the world to believe.
I explained that my page is simply where I share my thoughts. I have the right to disagree, to defend my views, and to say whatever I choose on my own page. If someone doesnβt like that, theyβre free not to follow me. And if they donβt believe in respectful conversation, they can argue somewhere else ,because if someone comments without basic manners, I just block them. Itβs not complicated.
I think itβs important to stand up against things you donβt believe in. Itβs equally important to accept that sometimes you might stand alone ... but your feelings are still valid. Freedom of speech means you have the right to express what you believe. Just understand that while here on my page- you are a guest.
