🚨 Pep Guardiola hits back at Jim Ratcliffe: "We treat immigrants or people that come from other countries like they are the ones causing problems for our country. It's a big problem because the fact I am Catalan and you are British? What influence did we have on where we were born? "Everyone wants to have a better life, everyone wants to have a better future for themselves and their families. Sometimes the opportunities are where you are born and sometimes it is in the place where you go. "The colour of your skin or the place where you were born don't make a difference. "Most people run away from their countries for the problems that are in their country, not because they want to leave. "The more we embrace other cultures, truly embrace it, then we will have a better society - I do not have any doubts about that."

Have you noticed how all those who claim it’s ’illegal immigration’ they take issue with (not those who come to the UK legally) are the same individuals, who voted for Brexit, to get rid of ‘legal’ freedom of movement? Why can’t they just admit they don’t like foreigners?

Zack Polanski at the Night Time Economy Summit 2/2: "Sometimes politicians make economic arguments. I'm just as interested in the humanitarian argument" "If we're running a society that is just about public services working, or just getting by. Fine, humanity can survive" "But what about thriving?" "What about being around the people that we love, our friends, our neighbours our community?" "We're seeing a worrying rise of the far right" "And I genuinely think that nightclubs, theatres, art, music, is a huge part of he antidote" "Because what you're doing is allowing people to collectively get together and tell a different story" "The right want us to believe that change isn't possible. That it always has to be this way that it always will be this way" "One of the ways we can demonstrate that it doesn't have to be this way is creating alternative ideas of what the future can look like" "In a club, or in an art space, that's where creatives get together to envisage a better future" "Whether that's on tackling the climate crisis, tackling poverty, antiracism strategy - all of that can happen by having a good nighttime economy" "Every local authority should have a good night time strategy" "I used to live in Athens, Georgia, USA - it's really famous for its music scene" "I was there as a student, sometimes 3am, you could wonder into a cafe, like a late night coffee shop, you'd have a musician on a piano just playing away, people working there" "But because you've got nighttime cafes open, it would be mean there are streetlights at night, which means safer streets at night" "It means there would need to be public transport to get there. That's also good as its accessible and affordable" "There would be toilets people could access at night. Good for me and the cafe but also good for the transport workers, the cleaners on the streets, the people who are keeping our cities running" "Having a night time economy that thrives means your city doesn't shut down at 10pm, and it can keep going all through the night, creating a thriving economy, looking out for people" "Less stress on the daytime economy because it spreads things across 24 hours" "It just makes sense on every single level"

I'm sorry but it's hard to see people lie about how legal immigration to the United Kingdom works, and say nothing about it. I am a legal immigrant to the UK. In 2023, I had to spent roughly £5,000 for a 2.5 years visa, NHS surcharge, biometric appointment and language tests. I will have to spend £4,000 this year, to extend my visa by another 2.5 years, after which, I'll need to pay again for indefinite leave-to-remain. On top of that, as a legal immigrant, I am understandably required to pay taxes, national insurance and can NOT claim benefits. This on-going myth that legal immigrants are free-loading on UK taxpayers is complete bullshit. If anything, I'm subsidising them. My legal immigrant ass is a net benefit to your country.
The British public has footed the bill for an immigration system that feels out of control and unfair. We’re stopping this. It is only fair that migrants with an income or sizeable assets will have to contribute to the cost of their stay, not the taxpayer.

You have helped facilitate genocide. You have sought to throw grannies behind bars for opposing that genocide. You will lose. You will be remembered only as a monster, and one day, it is politicians like you who will end up behind bars for facilitating the crime of crimes.
The Court acknowledged that Palestine Action has carried out acts of terrorism. It concluded that its actions are not consistent with democratic values and the rule of law Supporting the Palestinian cause is not the same as supporting Palestine Action. The Government's proscription followed a rigorous process, endorsed by Parliament. I will fight this judgment in the Court of Appeal.

BREAKING: WE WON. The High Court ruled the Palestine Action ban is unlawful as it is disproportionate to free speech and the Home Secretary breached her own policy. The court ordered the ban be quashed. Details of lifting the ban will be decided and completed at a later date.

BREAKING: government’s decision to proscribe Palestine Action under terrorism law ruled UNLAWFUL This matters for everyone. For years, the right to protest has been under sustained and deliberate attack. Thousands of people have been arrested for something that should have never been a crime. The Government has increasingly reached for sweeping counterterrorism powers to silence critics and suppress dissent. But today’s ruling draws a clear line in the sand. The government must now protect protest rights and make sure counter-terror laws are not misused. Amnesty will continue working to ensure the Government respects both the spirit and the letter of today’s ruling.

A court has ruled that the government's authoritarian ban on Palestine Action was unlawful. Time to stop criminalising the people protesting a genocide - and start ending the UK's complicity.

Telling parents can be a death sentence to many kids. This isn't good and will cause a lot of harm.

Incorrect. Last year Ratcliffe paid £0. Immigrants paid £17,000,000,000. Try again Julia.
Jim Ratcliffe has probably paid more taxes in this country than the last year's influx of migrants all put together.
