I wrote about the most ambitious form of AI-assisted software development I've seen yet - Strong DM's "Software Factory" approach, where two of the guiding principles are "Code must not be written by humans" and "Code must not be reviewed by humans" simonwillison.net/2026/Feb/7…

A genuinely radical approach to software development with AI, without any human intervention. Even if this approach doesn’t work for many cases, I think we need more leapfrogging visions for how to redo processes with AI: factory.strongdm.ai/ See also: danshapiro.com/blog/2026/01/…

A year ago, LLMs felt like amateur coders. Today? They’re game-changers—not just writing code but supercharging dev workflows, including code reviews. But which LLM does it best? I put 5 to the test in the Battle of LLMs: Code Reviews. 🔥💻 #AI #LLM tinyurl.com/2dumt755

Two days ago $SNOW released their Q4 FY 2024 earnings during which they announced that Frank Slootman is retiring. The stock dropped 20% thereafter. Was the drop all attributed to Slootman's departure or was there more?

Iceberg is moving data out of Snowflake, and into other systems to process and analyze this data. #SNOW's storage and the highly lucrative compute suffer.

Part two of the stock option trilogy. This one covers liquidity options (see what I did) to startup shareholders. The options listed aren't exhaustive and range from the most popular and least probable - an IPO - to some lesser known ones

Preferred preferences can also add a lot of friction to common shareholders' ability to sell their shares, including outright blocking them.

Ultimately, while there are avenues for transacting with private shares they aren't easy, are lengthy and expensive oftentimes requiring lawyers and brokers too #startups #compensation #stockoptions cummulative.io/p/startup-sto…

Microsoft recently disclosed that Github CoPilot generates about $156M in ARR as per their most recent quarterly earning. That's a big number. The question I have is, is CoPilot creating that much value? Microsoft claims it is "supercharging developer productivity"

I don't disagree that CoPilot is a very powerful and useful tool, but supercharging productivity? Do we have any empirical evidence of that? For an industry that uses the "engineering" term we tend to make lots of unscientific claims. Show me the data I say
