Might just be me but the argument of needing to get 1 hour of gameplay per dollar you spend on a video game is so exhausting and why we end up with so many bloated open world slogfests.
A lot of the greatest games of all time, shit I’d say most, are under 20 hrs.

Fer sure. And while Dr Slump is obviously the next big go-to after DB, don't be discouraged if it doesn't click for you. Kintoki, Sand Land, Kajika, Jaco and so much more rule. Toriyama has something for everyone! And if after all that, you still only vibe with DB, that's ok too.

A lot of people on here say they love Toriyama but only read DB and for some reason won’t read any of his other manga. I think if more people read his other works, especially Dr. Slump, they will appreciate and understand Toriyama as a mangaka even more.

Akira Toriyama always tried to balance Son Goku, but Toei Animation made Goku comparatively more serious.
Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Super mangas are consistent with his depiction, while anime adaptations aren’t really consistent.
