#GeorgiaProtests : Police raided the homes and offices of opposition parties and activists. Searches were reportedly conducted without witnesses and targeted the Coalition for Change, Unity-UNM’s youth wing, the homes of leaders of the activist groups Daitove, Dafioni and Geut.

The riot police started breaking up the demonstration. Thousands of people on Rustaveli Avenue are currently being dispersed with water cannons, tear gas, and pepper spray, and riot police are detaining demonstrators.

The Georgian people have chosen the European path and in response, the European Council granted #Georgia the candidate status last December.
Let me be clear: the draft Law on Transparency of Foreign Influence is not consistent with Georgia’s EU aspiration and its accession trajectory and will bring Georgia further away from the EU and not closer.
