Joint DSS-Military Team Foil Kidnap of WAEC Students in Southeast *Recover high-calibre arms cache, ammunition The Department of State Services (DSS) and troops of the Nigerian Army, on Wednesday foiled a major attempt by members of the outlawed Eastern Security Network (ESN) to kidnap scores of students writing the ongoing West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) in some Southeast states. Security sources said the ESN terrorists targeted schools in Enugu, Anambra and Imo States. Acting on credible intelligence from DSS said one of the sources, officers of the secret police and soldiers raided an armoury of the ESN in Agbani axis of Enugu State. The raid, disclosed the source, led to the recovery of a cache of high-calibre arms, including eight AK-47 rifles, 12 AK-47 magazines, and 323 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition. Also recovered was one smoke grenade launcher, two teargas canisters, 10 NYSC trousers, eight NYSC T-shirts and four NYSC lanyards. The source disclosed that intelligence revealed that the ESN members were to have launched the attacks wearing the NYSC uniforms. Intelligence revealed that members of the terrorist organization were to have attacked select schools in the Southeast region to create the impression that bandits have invaded the region, added the source. Several members of the organization were reportedly arrested. Earlier on Tuesday, a team comprising DSS operatives and soldiers around the Garki area of Enugu, raided another ESN armoury. A rocket launcher, two RPG (rocket propelled grenade) warheads, three RPG chargers, and three AK-47 rifles were among the arms recovered by the security team. "Also recovered by the team were six AK-47 magazines, two handheld grenades, one teargas gun, a baton and two teargas canisters, 270 rounds of NATO 7.62x39mm ammunition, 478 rounds of 7.62X39mm special ammunition, a bandolier and a baton," the source added. The recoveries came barely a week after DSS operatives arrested five suspected arms couriers linked to gunmen who abducted students and staff of St. Mary’s Catholic School in Papiri Village, Niger State, on November 21, 2025. The suspects, including two Nigeriens, were nabbed in coordinated operations across Kaduna, Niger and Kebbi states. Recovered from the men were 15 AK 103 rifles, 15 magazines and 1,434 rounds of 7.62 mm live ammunition. The outlawed group has been responsible for series of kidnappings and attacks on security operatives in the state, declared the source. The Tuesday raid on ESN armoury in Enugu State came shortly after a recent arrest by the DSS of several suspected members of the outlawed organization in the state. The highly-placed security source disclosed that the DSS operatives and soldiers launched the raid

Shut the fuck up
“If Sunday Igboho truly has the powers he claims, does he need anyone’s approval? He would simply disappear and reappear wherever the bandits are, slap them, and seize their guns.” — Grand Mufti of Yorubaland, Sheik Daood Imran Molaasan, mocks Sunday Igboho.

VDM is starting to think he’s untouchable. There are recent examples right in front of him if he cares to look. He wasn’t half as powerful or influential as Zakzaky when he was arrested, and heaven didn’t fall. Nnamdi Kanu is still rotting in prison as I type this. Lessons

VDM stood right in front of the army and police blocking the Ministry of Defence and told them the truth they didn’t want to hear. He said: “After 35 years of service, there will be nothing to show for it. You have a gvn that you cannot use to protect your own family but you are using it to protect this terrible government. They travel by flight but you travel by road because you cannot afford it.” He wasn’t talking to the enemy. He was speaking directly to the soldiers and officers themselves. That’s what makes this different. He didn’t just confront the system... he reminded the men holding the gvns that they too are victims of the same system they are protecting. The real problem is not the men in uniform. It’s the system that puts gvns in their hands and turns them against their own people. To the men in uniform, there is still time to wake up. Because one day the uniform will be gone, the salary will stop, and you will return to your villages to face the same poverty, the same bandits, and the same insecurity you were used to shield others from. That day, you will remember this moment and ask why you didn’t do the right thing while you had the chance.

This is Gospel Uabari. He was used to replace someone else in jail since 2003. His parents left this world without seeing him again. He was only a 14 years old boy! Nigeria! Nigeria!
A 14 year old boy called Gospel left home to play football and never returned. His family searched and searched for him, all but to no avail. His both parents passed as a result of not seeing their son after so many years. Last year, his elder brother got a called that Gospel has been found in prison, after 18 long years. This affected Gospel mentally that he no longer recognizes his family. We all want to know what he did right ? Well he did nothing! Absolutely no charges against him! It wasn’t even documented that he was in there to start with!

Children are in the bushes. Poverty is hitting almost every home hard. People are being kidnapped almost on a daily. But a politician and "mother of the nation" is distributing new cars and busses to her political associates in a celebratory style. Lack of empathy. End.
