Most teams do "pipeline management" backward. 1. Inspect late stage deals first. 2. Find the first weak signal, not the last excuse. 3. Fix the pattern, not the rep. 4. Repeat weekly. You do not manage pipeline by staring at the forecast.

Unpopular opinion: most pipeline problems are not top of funnel problems. They are inspection problems. If reps cannot explain the deal, they do not own it. More activity does not fix weak judgment. It just hides it longer.
