Today I met @GeorgetownMrpi students on my 1st in person event during #COVID19. Lots of protocols, short time, few people. 🔹We discussed gaps in the literature on migration, and in policy responses and the key opportunities brought forth by migratory systems in the Region.

The Darien Gap is considered to be the deadliest migration route in the Americas. 🔹Crossing it means facing assaults by gangs, sexual violence, despair. 👶 UNICEF also reported that 2021 broke the record in terms of the number of migrant children crossing that jungle.
