At UNGA informal meeting on UN80 initiative, PR @BakradzeDavid welcomed progress on reforms to enhance accountability and transparency and voiced support for optimizing UN activities, digital transformation, and strengthening the Resident and Humanitarian Coordinators' systems.

At NPT Review Conference, PR @BakradzeDavid reaffirmed 🇬🇪’s commitment to the Treaty, highlighted support for IAEA safeguards system and universalization of CTBT and stressed the lack of international monitoring in occupied regions of 🇬🇪as a serious challenge to verification.

MoJ delegation of 🇬🇪wrapped up a 3-day visit to New York for the 25th session of the UN CEPA. They showcased key reforms in public administration and serive delivery domain and held high-level meetings with UN leadership. 🇬🇪🇺🇳 The next destination is Tbilisi which will bring the world together to host the 2026 UN Public Service Forum.🌎

Delivered remarks at UN informal plenary of the IGN process on the Security Council Reform. Reiterated Georgia's support for equitable geographical representation, expansion of both permanent and non-permanent membership across regions, and discussed measures to enhance the Security Council's effectiveness in upholding international peace and security including limitations on the use of veto. Highlighted the painful lessons on the abuse of veto by Russia during the 2008 Russia-Georgia War that prevented the SC to adequately address it.
