As the world heads to #COP30, Ghana is already living the climate crisis; floods, heat, disrupted farming. My new op-ed argues Ghana can turn this moment into a green transition led by climate-smart farming, renewables & youth innovation. Let’s act now. thecable.ng/from-crisis-to-o…

The World Cup begins tomorrow, and many will watch the matches. Soccer reminds us of something we must not forget: life is not a race to show off on our own, but a path we learn to walk together. Anyone who does not know how to pass the ball, even if they have talent, has not yet understood the game. Anyone who does not know how to live with and for others has not yet understood life. #ApostolicJourney

Many prose writers often forget that one of the secrets among many other things to writing the best prose is reading a lot of poetry. Studying the way language moves in poems, and what distinguishes one good poem from another, and diffs them from bad poems elevates your writing.

The Holy Spirit challenges us today regarding our relationship with technology and the ongoing digital revolution. Technology has the power to heal, connect, educate and protect our common home; but it can also divide, exclude and generate new forms of injustice. #MagnificaHumanitas

I spoke today about Africa Day and the aspirations of people on the continent. My session starts at 9 minutes 46 secs. Hopefully, we build the Africa we want. #Agenda2063
LIVE: Africa’s Agenda 2063 places good governance and democracy at the centre of the continent’s development goals. But concerns over coups, democratic backsliding and weak institutions continue to test the AU’s aspirations for “The Africa We Want.” Tonight, we will go into these concerns. Bereft of ideas yet competent in fleecing the ordinary citizen. Is this the legacy our political elites are building?
You are using Lorem Ipsum on your website, and you're trying to charge me 20k for "license"? A whole government website. Supposed ICT Authority. Scrap the whole organisation. What a flipping joke.

In April, I discussed Sudan’s conflict on TV. A hard truth: wars persist not only because of violence, but because of selective global attention, weak accountability & normalized indifference to African suffering. African crises deserve urgency, not commemoration alone. #Sudan

There's a need to put our money where our mouth is. Every development policy of this nation must include significant input in health sectors and education sectors. All funds allocated must be used because a nation owes its citizenship that much decorum of respect!
Disturbing photos have surfaced showing health workers at the Fame Health Centre in Tatindo, a rural community in the Tatale-Sanguli District of the Northern Region, reportedly transporting a referred patient in a tricycle due to the absence of ambulance services. The incident, reportedly not an isolated case is how staff have been forced to transfer critically ill patients to higher-level facilities. [📸: Stephen Opoku Awudu]

Early today, we gathered with media representatives to officially launch the 2025 Amnesty International Global Report on Death Sentences and Executions. The event provided a platform for meaningful discussions on the realities of prisoners on death roll and the need for abolition and advocacy for human rights and dignity for all. Amnesty International Ghana calls on the President to commute all existing death sentences to life imprisonment. We also call on Parliament, the Attorney-General, the Judiciary, and all relevant state institutions to support and complete the legal and constitutional reforms necessary for the total abolition of the death penalty from Ghana’s laws. The event reinforced the importance of continued advocacy and collective action in promoting justice and protecting human dignity. We remain committed to creating spaces that encourage awareness, inspire dialogue, and drive meaningful change. #amnestyinternational #amnestyghana #DP2025 #humanrights

Oftentimes you wonder if it's incompetence. But I think it's intentionally done to frustrate innovation so as to create a rentier economy for those at the helm of affairs. In essence, they're creating a pay-to-play schema, masquerading as a protection policy for 🇬🇭's digital age
The #NITADraftBill 2025 deserves careful public scrutiny from all stakeholders, especially young people working in technology, startups, digital entrepreneurship, cybersecurity, AI, media, and software development. Read the draft bill yourself here: macjordangh.com/nita-draft-b… Then ask yourself: ⁉️Does this Bill strengthen Ghana’s digital future? ⁉️Or does it risk regulating away the very creativity and innovation we need to compete globally?

Nation-building cannot be left to politicians or elites. Ghana’s civic health depends on young people who are informed, engaged, and willing to hold truth to power. Democracy survives when youth reject apathy. Arise, Ghana youth 🇬🇭✊🏾 #BlackStarSummit26. Thanks to @LeadAfrique

Wait, the person who leaked those videos is not asked to apologize; instead, the victim of this form of digital abuse? How is the victim made to cry and be punished for something they did not do? Everything is upside down here. This should not even be.
A young lady named Hidaya was punished at Salamba Lana’s palace after a sexual intimate video of her was leaked. She has apologized to the people of Tamale, her family, and her loved ones.

Currently, to be a lawyer in Ghana, one has to pass the bar exams. A simple question on whether he passed the bar exams would have sufficed in answering if he were a lawyer. The art of asking incisive questions is a tool everyone needs, and the study of philosophy provides that.
“If I’m not a lawyer, then Kwamena Ahwoi isn’t one either!” — @AdomOtchere pushes back against claims about his legal credentials, insisting he holds an LLB from the University of Ghana and comparing his status to respected legal academics who are not practicing lawyers.
