Kids sat chatting at breakfast about GMOs. Little one says "Yeah because if you put the gene from a shark and put it into a rabbit, then the rabbit will eat a lot of fish!". 😀

Had a sad day with the bees today. After looking for good sites to study chronic bee paralysis for 4 years, it raised its ugly head in my apiary 😭. Such a sorry sight.

Well done @HazelCooley95 fab POST note on invasive species with contributions from several @ModEviPol folk!
Invasive species were estimated to cost the UK more than £1.8 billion per year in 2010. The UK’s 2019 report to @UNBiodiversity found that, despite some action, their impact and associated risks in the UK remain significant. Read our latest POSTnote: ow.ly/UU2750JiPKa

Fab day with about 60 beekeepers for a bee health day @UniofNewcastle Cockle Park farm. Great to see the @NBU_APHA inspectors at work training folk up! Bees were well behaved too!
