Ateneo de Manila University president Fr. Roberto Yap and officials of Smart Communications will be subpoenaed over the fatal drowning of men’s basketball players Rene Baterbonia and Divine Adili, the CIDG says.
“We learned also from the university athletics office that the Ateneo basketball team allegedly is autonomous and independently run by a foundation," CIDG director Maj. Gen. Robert Morico II says in a press briefing.
"The program planning and funding is being handled by the foundation, which is Smart Communications,” CIDG director Maj. Gen. Robert Morico II says in a press briefing.
