People seriously need to stop confusing a non-indictment decision with a court ruling.
A prosecutor deciding not to indict someone is not the same thing as a judge sitting down and determining that an allegation is true.
That’s not how the legal process works.
The prosecutor’s stance was more like:
“Based on the circumstances, the people involved appear to have believed it was true, so proving criminal intent is difficult.”
A non-indictment decision can mean intent wasn’t proven, evidence wasn’t sufficient, or legal requirements weren’t met. It does not automatically validate anything.
A prosecutor’s decision is not a court judgment. I’ll leave it at that.
