β»οΈ Through our Reimagining the Plastic Cycle initiative, Accra Hub is helping young people see plastic as a resource, not waste.
As part of the #GenerationCircular challenge, we piloted a Plastics for Value workshop and developed The Plastics for Value Playbook.
This #WorldEnvironmentDay, weβre launching Project #RootsAndRoutes under the WEF Equal Air Collaborative!
Air pollution causes approximately 2,800 premature deaths annually in Accra, heavily impacting our youth.
Together with UrbanBetter, we are partnering with schools & local communities to turn air quality data into youth-led climate action through urban greening and health walks.

Students from Christa Valley International School learning how waste can become something useful.
During the Plastic for Value Workshop, students were taught to transform used water bottles into stationery holders while learning practical lessons about sustainability.
Schools and students generate a considerable amount of plastic waste daily. Introducing students to simple ways of reusing these materials helps them see waste differently and understand how small actions can create value.
