Let me tell you what I love about Tony Stewart, his willingness to shoot you straight. He appeared on a podcast a week or so ago and said that he doesn't even watch the Cup Series anymore due to how anemic the product has become. If you want to know what he is referring to, flip over to the Coke 600 right now. I don't know how or why we allowed ourselves to get to this point, but someone needs to right the ship. I have some respect for Steve O'Donnell due to what he did this weekend for the Busch family, but let's not gloss over his terrible tenure in the upper echelons of the sanctioning body. I could be wrong, but I don't think he is the man to fix it. I really hope I'm wrong. Believe it or not, I want to see NASCAR return to it's peak era from the 2000s, and I believe it can be done.
