Frequently Asked Questionsβ "Why was I charged more than $1 when using Tap-To-Pay at the Farebox?"
Currently, when you tap your credit card, debit card, or mobile wallet to pay your fare, our system combines your ride charges throughout the day to keep processing efficient. You may notice a charge higher than $1 for the following reasons:
π Accumulated rides: Tap-to-Pay fares are grouped together and processed once your card reaches $10 in ride charges.
π End-of-Day Settlement: If your rides total less than $10, charges are processed at the end of the service day.
What to expect with our updated system:
π Same-Day Posting: Your transit transactions will post to your bank or credit card account on the same day you travel
π Operational Alignment: Processing now matches our daily transit service operations rather than a 24-hour rolling clock
π Statement Adjustments: You may notice a change in the exact time or day transactions appear on your financial statements
