I saw @MyersFletcherJA talking about vacation laws. Labour laws could use an update, particularly that vacation is earned after 12 months of work, and I really need to know if the 8hr work day doesn’t actually include a lunch hour is actually true haven’t looked it up yet
Today I’m being told by my human resource department that I only qualify for vacation days after working for a whole year. Please bear in mind that I only get ONE free weekend off per month and one day off per week :) and I have to work for a YEAR to get time to rest.

Precisely this. You can’t complain about your image while protecting the bad apples.
If the police did a push out the wrongdoers in the rank from long time this wouldn’t reach them….. (Nuh suh them tell ghetto people everyday?) Talk up Squaddie. Expose the bad police, so we can avoid labeling the entire force as murderers.

The sub judice rule is not there for the protection of attorneys. It’s to protect the court. Isat’s remarks were not a criticism of the court. Interesting.

The MF&G family traded their Saturday for paintbrushes and purpose. 🎨 They spent the day repainting Jacob's Well Shelter, a home for adult women with mental and physical disabilities. This is what community looks like. 🧡

The JCF is funded by the public. We are not critics to be neutralised. We are the principals. The JCF works for us. When the instinct after a woman is shot dead in her car is to “flood” social media with “OUR narrative” that is certainly a message to be examined.

Pensions are instruments of stability. They protect people and help secure the future. Too many Jamaicans are reaching retirement age without enough financial security, and that is why your Government will implement pension auto-enrollment. Many Jamaicans already believe in saving and putting something aside for the future. This new approach will help more workers become part of the pension system early, while still giving them the choice to opt out if they wish. We must continue building a culture of savings, financial responsibility, and long-term security for Jamaican families.

No apparent shock from colleague police on the scene. No immediate condemnatory statement from High Command distancing this incident as an outlier. No real sense of alarm other than “well the camera caught this one”. This sort of conduct doesn’t exist in a vacuum.

Got hit by a taxi man overtaking a line of traffic. At the police station making the report and learned that the driver has 201 unpaid tickets in 7 years, including that very morning. Why is he still on the road @JamaicaConstab ?!

I'm circling back here... for is my cortisol spikes & pocket pay the price. 1. What in the patty shop has been happening at NWA if these basic "urgements" need to be issued? 2. A memo/speech/email and matter fix? This is it? Dis ah it?
Works Minister Robert Morgan has mandated the National Works Agency, NWA, to immediately implement measures to improve road repair work across the country. In a memo, Minister Morgan listed four areas he says needs attention. READ MORE HERE: revonews.ai/news/works-minis…

but even with that, how do they explain the beryl donations? beryl was 2 years ago. nothing that these people say can justify what they have done re the donations.
If the govt had said the funds would sit there for months, many would have donated instead to churches and charities that were already on the ground.

There were people literally on the ground rebuilding homes with donations. Imagine how much more could have been done if they had more help. It’s a few weeks before the next hurricane season & there are still people without homes. There is no solid excuse for this.

The measurement of success can't be how much money you spend and how quickly. There are several steps which MUST be taken before expending funds. Rushing to spend often leads to wasted resources, whereas deliberate planning secures better outcomes.
