The first four home runs of Semien's year were off terrible pitchers and all of them were in garbage time.
The next five have been off serious guys: Bender, Hancock, Bradgley, Vasquez and Elder. And 4/5 have been clutch, in one-run games.
Baseball is an amazing sport.

Shout out to Marcus, who has lifted his season xwOBA to .323. Still sitting at 0.0 WAR, and the defense is still below-average, and it's still a mess-- but he's hitting his way out of the hole lately, even if the actual wOBA is lagging.

We just got Alvarez back, and we get Lindor back soon. I always have hope for Baty. This team is going to get back into the mix.

There are a lot of doomers who lament every time a player leaves the Mets, crying that they'll be better elsewhere.
But that's not true at all! Those are just the ones you notice.
For instance, Kimbrel is cooked.

I really thought this year's starting rotation was going to be good. Even with some regressions, even neutral injury luck would have been fine.
But Holmes & Senga got hurt, Peterson, Manaea and Tong have been bad, leaving us with just Peralta, McLean, and Scott. Been tough.

Alright, I did some digging on the Spider-Man celly.
Bo Bichette is a huge Marvel fan and basically started it all. Back in 2021, he went viral for swinging a custom detailed Spider-Man bat and debuted the web-slinging celebration. He was the first to bring that energy, and now everybody’s on board. #lgm
