The Bourne Ultimatum = A
Yet another classic in this series.
Now I'm off to see whether I can watch Jason Bourne or if I have to watch Legacy first because Legacy unfortunately is the only one out of the 5 that I don't have.
Cooley High = A
At first, I was questioning the acting, writing and direction.
Then something just happens to you. The movie starts seeping into your pores and before you know it, you're completely enthralled.
The aesthetic, nostalgia and soundtrack are second to none.
It's even more amazing when you read the backstory. Most of the people in this film weren't even actors. They were kids from the neighborhood in and around Cabrini-Green. It's also mostly based on real life events.
Still stunned over this. It's pretty much the perfect movie of fun and feel good.
It doesn't hurt that I'm an old rocker at heart.
I have since learned that all the kids really did play their own instruments. And really did sing as well.
That probably ups it to an A
Some Like It Hot = A
Marilyn totally nailed the ditzy blonde role even though she apparently despised those sort of roles.
I thought Jack Lemmon stole the show.
Seems like a good day to revisit my Star Wars rankings:
A
Return of the Jedi
Revenge of the Sith

New Hope
Rise of Skywalker
Force Awakens
Empire Strikes Back
A
Rogue One
A
Phantom Menace

Last Jedi
C

To Kill a Mockingbird = A
Must be at least 45 years since I saw this. I forgot how much of a handful Scout could be. She had a bit of a temper. ๐
Also forgot that Robert Duvall played Boo Radley. RIP
What a masterpiece.
Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead = B
There's probably a bunch of technical things wrong with that movie but I don't care about any of that.
I was highly entertained.
ALT Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead movie poster
The Great Race = B
Probably a bit funnier in 1965 but still quite amusing nonetheless. Certainly had a terrific charm to it.
Not sure it had to be nearly 3 hours though.
Atlantic City = C-
The story was absolutely ridiculous. Most of the acting was highly questionable. Yet somehow Susan Sarandon & Burt Lancaster made it fairly watchable.
After finishing the John Wick franchise last night (which was phenomenal) it got me thinking about other franchises that have at least 3 or more movies.
I think I might try to rank them someday. Marvel, Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, Back to the Future etc...
I think I would probably have Planet of the Apes much higher than most people and I would probably have Indiana Jones much lower.
Equalizer, Matrix, Insidious, Conjuring, Pirates, gosh there's so many of them. Transporter is fun.
