I don’t normally share my real private life on Twitter, but I’m posting something in hopes that it betters my family’s quality of life in the future.
My brother was diagnosed with Stage 4 incurable cancer in August. He is not only my brother, but the father of my two beautiful nieces, a devoted husband to his wife, and a pillar of light in my family’s lives.
To me, my brother was the person in my life who encouraged my love of video games, always invited me over to play, and made my passions in media and games feel supported rather than passing thoughts.
While miracles certainly can happen, his prognosis typically entails a year or two left- possibly three if he sticks very closely to his treatment plan. It’s unimaginably challenging to know someone’s health will inevitably get worse and worse, but he’s been a champ.
His wife and his irl friends have set up a donation page with proceeds contributing to an “Adventure and Education” fund for my nieces. We hope that in the future, they’ll be able to achieve everything they want to do comfortably after his passing. They are also hosting an event in my hometown which you’ll see in the link, but obviously my reach here extends a bit outside of our little corner of Canada.
If you have the ability to contribute a few dollars to go towards our family, it would be so appreciated. If you are unable to, all I ask is that you keep our family in good thoughts.

This link will bring you to the event page, where you have the option to make a donation in lieu of attendance.
Throughout all of his battle, he has remained focused on the wellbeing and future of his daughters, and will continue to fight in good spirits for as long as he can.
This is a very private piece of my life and I hope it can be respected as I share it with you all. While condolences are nice, I much prefer knowing that you all will hug the people you love in your life a little bit longer, and tell them you love them as much as you can while you have time.
Thank you guys ♥️
