How big is are the German women pelvisthe vagina can tear to whatever but the pelvis here is the big question
I've spent the last month at a specialized birthing center at a German hospital, and here are a few things you should know about childbirth;
1. Mobility is more important than you think. Women are encouraged to take walks, stand, and move their hips during labour. It helps relax their pelvic muscles and makes delivery much easier
2. Giving birth in an upright position is everything. Lithotomy - lying on your back - is not the natural position for delivery. Other positions allow the pelvis to open up more, and enable maximum pelvic pressure to be applied when pushing the baby out.
3. Breech deliveries (when the legs/bum come first instead of the head) can be done vaginally, with good outcomes for mom and baby. While most places prefer to do c-sections for breech pregnancies - which exposes the mom to a wider range of complications- delivery in an upright position changes everything. We need to retrieve the lost art of vaginal breech deliveries.
