Shocking. to hear @scotgov proposal to close ContactScotland-BSL despite a commitment in the BSL national plan 2023-2029 to improve this service as part of the BSL Act. This makes the aim for Scotland to be the best country for BSL users to live harder.

A true role model, John was. He told me how to separate between personal and professional whilst attending Oxford Deaf Club social events. He simply said “I took my tie off, then everyone knows I’m not working!” Simple as that! Thank you John for your huge contribution.

John was one of those prominent Deaf figures who played massive part in the history of Deaf community in Oxfordshire and beyond for many years. He was also one of the first Deaf #Freemasons in the UK. Sadly missed.
