I applaud @GovMikeDeWine for evolving in his position and calling for an end to the death penalty in Ohio. It's important elected officials are able to grow and change their minds — like I also did on this issue. I’ll continue to call on the General Assembly to do what's morally right and send me a bill abolishing the death penalty here in Pennsylvania.

Yesterday, I was proud to welcome German Ambassador to the U.S., Jens Hanefeld, to Harrisburg and sign a joint agreement that will build on this strong foundation by sharing best practices to expand access to apprenticeships, CTE initiatives, and more.

Pride isn’t just one month of the year. It’s a continuous celebration of love and the freedom to be who you are. And for me, it’s a constant commitment to true equality in Pennsylvania. I am a Governor who sees and respects you for who you are. And I will always have your back.

Grateful and relieved the three @PhillyPolice officers shot in the line of duty last night are stable and expected to recover. Lori and I are holding them and their families in our hearts today. Our team at the @PAStatePolice is in touch with the @PhillyPolice to offer whatever assistance is needed. Those three officers are heroes — they ran towards danger to keep others safe. They, their families, and the entire Philly PD family are in our prayers.
