This week I signed my final bill into law as Governor, HB26-1033 - Expanding the Colorado Cottage Foods Act which makes Colorado a food freedom state, allowing entrepreneurs who make delicious homemade foods Coloradans love like Tamales, Burritos, and Tortas to be sold to Coloradans. It was a special celebration on a special bill to finish signing or vetoing all the bills that past the 75th general assembly, which recessed on May 14th..
During this legislative session I signed a total of 436 bills, and over the last eight years, I’ve signed more than 3,700 bills on the issues that matter most to Coloradans. From creating free, full-day kindergarten and preschool, to passing nation-leading clean energy laws, taking action to reduce housing costs, improve access to healthcare Coloradans can afford, protecting personal freedoms, cutting taxes, and lowering costs for all - I’m proud of the work we’ve done since I took office.
And we’re not done yet. I’m committed to running through the tape for Coloradans to continue fighting for the issues people care about most.
