Denver’s Capitol Hill neighborhood has been named one of the top 5 best LGBTQ-friendly neighborhoods in the country. The historic neighborhood has served as a safe gathering place for LGBTQ Denver residents for decades. It’s also home to several Denver Pride events this month, including the Denver Pride Parade on June 28. kdvr.com/denver-guide/denver…

Building strong international relationships boosts Colorado’s economy, strengthens our business ecosystem, and deepens our cultural connections. I was pleased to meet with our international allies in Germany to collaborate and share best practices in clean energy manufacturing, wildfire prevention and control, and strengthening transportation corridors between our major travel hubs in Germany and Colorado. Colorado is leading by example to foster international stewardship to bring more innovation and creativity to our state.

Colorado averages about 44 tornadoes per year, according to the Storm Prediction Center. While Kansas has twice as many a year, it is also vital to have a plan if a tornado warning is issued for your location and you don’t want to wind up in Oz. Remember, a tornado watch means to be prepared, and a tornado warning means to take action. Here are some safety tips for what to do during a tornado from the National Weather Service.

Families don’t “love inflation” - we’re forced to live with it. Americans deserve a President who is focused on bringing costs down, not celebrating higher prices.

Colorado is home to some of the most spectacular sunsets in the world. Whether you're watching the sun dip below the wide-open prairie at Pawnee National Grassland or taking in the dramatic colors reflecting off the canyon walls at Black Canyon of the Gunnison, there’s no shortage of incredible places in Colorado to end the day.

Colorado is investing $32.8 million to reduce emissions, improve air quality, and support innovative technologies across the state. These investments will cut pollution from Colorado while helping businesses lower costs, create jobs, and build a cleaner, healthier future for Colorado communities.

Making Colorado a top ten safest state is a top priority. I was proud to sign new laws that make Colorado communities safer this year, building on the work we’ve done since taking office.

As wildfire seasons become longer and more challenging, investing in preparedness has never been more important. I’m proud of Colorado’s investments into our firefighters and response efforts, but there is always more work to do. This week, hundreds of firefighters, emergency managers, and incident response professionals came together in Grand Junction to sharpen skills, strengthen coordination, and prepare to protect Colorado communities. The dedication of our firefighters helps keep Coloradans safe and ensures our state is ready to respond when it matters most. gjsentinel.com/news/western_…

This year I was proud to sign a balanced budget that protects the things Coloradans care about most: education and public safety while protecting fiscal responsibility. I continue working everyday to make Colorado better for everyone.

Colorado may not be hosting a 2026 World Cup match, but the Centennial State will still be on the world stage. FIFA selected Colorado-grown grass for three U.S. World Cup stadiums in Atlanta, Dallas, and Houston. Because these climate-controlled venues require cool-season grass, Colorado’s turf was chosen to provide the playing surface for some of the tournament’s biggest matches. The World Cup isn’t coming to Colorado, but Colorado is going to the World Cup.

I’m excited to announce a new effort with the Colorado Chamber of Commerce (tag) to speed up permitting that will reduce emissions from manufacturing, energy production, and other industrial sectors. By streamlining permitting and cutting red tape, we can use innovation to reduce emissions. For the first time ever in Colorado, a majority of our energy comes from low-cost clean energy, and this working group will build on that success to unlock new opportunities to save Coloradans money, create good-paying jobs, and protect our air quality.

Colorado is bringing more housing to market faster and at lower cost over the next few months and years. I've signed laws to reduce housing costs, increase our housing supply, and save homeowners money on their insurance. There is always more work to do, but as these laws take effect, we will see Coloradans of every budget find more housing in the communities where they work and raise their families.

Colorado is investing in more affordable housing. Four new Proposition 123 Equity Fund recipients will help expand low- and middle-income rental housing in Aspen, Colorado Springs, Denver, and Ouray while supporting smart growth, sustainability, and stronger communities.

This week I signed my final bill into law as Governor, HB26-1033 - Expanding the Colorado Cottage Foods Act which makes Colorado a food freedom state, allowing entrepreneurs who make delicious homemade foods Coloradans love like Tamales, Burritos, and Tortas to be sold to Coloradans. It was a special celebration on a special bill to finish signing or vetoing all the bills that past the 75th general assembly, which recessed on May 14th.. During this legislative session I signed a total of 436 bills, and over the last eight years, I’ve signed more than 3,700 bills on the issues that matter most to Coloradans. From creating free, full-day kindergarten and preschool, to passing nation-leading clean energy laws, taking action to reduce housing costs, improve access to healthcare Coloradans can afford, protecting personal freedoms, cutting taxes, and lowering costs for all - I’m proud of the work we’ve done since I took office. And we’re not done yet. I’m committed to running through the tape for Coloradans to continue fighting for the issues people care about most.
