It's #RepairYourPitchmarkday today.
Here is our gentle reminder to golfers everywhere, a pitchmark repaired within 5 minutes can be completely recovered within 24 hours. 👍🏻
A pitchmark left for 10 minutes or longer can take 15 days to recover. 😢

Shifting winter temperatures bring the risk of serious course damage if the surface thaws and soil is frozen below. Footsteps or cart traffic can cause soil to slide, damaging grass roots. Watch this short video to learn more 👇
PSA: Please do not hit towards maintenance personnel during a round of golf. Instead, make sure they are aware of your presence and be patient while they move out of the way. This ensures that they can safely prepare the course for us to enjoy.
We have had nearly 100mm of rain since Christmas Day but what does that mean in reality?
We try to explain how just 25mm of rain impacts the course ⛳️
Let’s hope Mother Nature eases up as we head in to the weekend! ☔️

Great to be out on the road again today.
Great to see golf back out playing.
Soooooo disappointing to see this.
Come on golfers, greenkeeping teams around the country have put a lot of extra effort in for you..... Repay the favour.
Imagine being the first person out on a golf course next week?
There won’t be any pitch marks on the greens!
Imagine if you repair your pitch mark every time you hit a green. It could be like that all the time.
Let’s help those hardworking #greenkeepers out.
Today I'm giving away a round of golf with me #captainpirate 🦿🏴☠️🏴🏌️ on the @TheCelticManor 2010 Ryder Cup course (when restrictions allow).I'll be on my @ecaddy5

As a #York based business, we couldn't help but notice the
@CityofYork#DontBeATosser initiative and it got us thinking...
What do you think about our version, which asks for better etiquette around the golf course?

PLEASE NOTE AFTER 5 DAYS OF BEING OPEN THERE ARE TOO MANY UNREPAIRED PITCH MARKS ON THE GREENS, AS MEMBERS ONLY HAVE BEEN ALLOWED TO PLAY THIS IS VERY DISAPPOINTING. EVEN IF YOU CANNOT FIND YOUR PITCHMARK PLEASE REPAIR ANOTHER, THANK YOU. text in a Clubs newsletter TO MEMBERS!!
The golf course is going to be very busy when it reopens, and you may see greenkeepers working hard as they get the course back up to scratch.
We've taken inspiration from the latest @GOVUK guidance to ask golfers to be patient and ensure the way ahead is clear before playing...
