People who are saying this is a bad thing due to low birth rate don't realize that gay/lesbian folks probably aren't going to be having kids regardless of if they are taught about LGBTQIA or not? Sexuality is by nature not nurture.
Japan is set to roll out nationwide LGBTQIA education programs in schools, universities, and workplaces.
The goal is for more people in Japan to understand sexual orientation and gender identity outside of cisgender, heterosexual norms.

I sometimes try and figure what the effects of this are but we will have to wait and see. Climate change is evident no matter which way you spin it, and it seems we are starting to move into more uncharted waters ENSO-wise.

130 years ago today, the Mw8.2 Meiji Sanriku earthquake occurred off the coast of Sanriku. over 22,000 people died as a result of the tsunami, which reached a height of 38.2m (125 ft) near present day Ofunato, Iwate.

While I was painting in onagawa today an elderly gentleman came up to see what I was painting and we had a nice conversation. You really don’t get these kinds of interactions in the major cities.
