Fueled by coffee & anger...but mostly š¤¬. I survived a toxic grad school experience & will continue to advocate for grad students. You are not alone!
At the beginning of my last year of grad school, I had a falling out with my toxic advisor & was told I wouldnāt be able to graduate. Many months later I have completed and successfully defended my dissertation.
It took great courage & perseveranceā¦but Iām now Dr. Angry Grad!
People may give you advice to hide that part of your research or who you are to get a job. Do NOT let the hatred or fear win! Your work is still valued and is needed now more than ever!
I know that this platform has gone downhill, but I just wanted to take a moment to thank each & every one of my followers for your support. Yāall got me through the depths of hell during graduate school š„¹ I will never forget that!!

āHas anyone ever had a Provost who is not a SME in the field override a committee's approval of a dissertation and edits? Provost is demanding multiple students redo arguements despite having full committee approval.ā
