Jeff Landry had no problem finding money for corporate giveaways, rich kids, school vouchers, and pet projects. But now he wants to pit school tutoring programs against teacher salaries. Lil Jeff Louisianans see straight thru your game.
Today, Louisiana has 100k less students in the public school system since I graduated, and we pay twice as much to educate them. At the same time, teacher pay in Louisiana has actually gone down when adjusted for inflation. I have continually advocated for a stable funding source to support permanent increases in teacher pay. Since I issued my Executive Order, many school districts have begun to give teachers the much needed raises they deserve! When the overcollections fund reaches the amount needed to pay the stipend, the money will be sent to the school districts. Those schools that already gave stipends or raises exceeding or equal to $2,000 (teachers) $1,000 (support staff) can simply use the MFP stipend allocation to backfill their budgets. There is no requirement in the EO for a double payout, but I do encourage the districts to maximize efficiency and return those savings to the teachers.

1) Does he not know for certain if he has ALEC affiliation? Most legislators do. 2) "Found similar legislation" strongly implies the influence of model legislation somewhere along the line. Which is what ALEC does.

Julia Letlow endorses the Gov Landry recall: LouisianaDeservesBetter.com.

For John Fleming to post a video using my husband’s death for his own political gain is the most egregious move I have ever witnessed in any race. I won’t stand for it and I don’t believe Louisiana will either. He should take it down immediately.

What kind of person do you have to be to oppose libraries?
Always follow the $$. The rich white guy who tried to rewrite the state constitution for his benefit, Lane Grigsby, is bankrolling the opposition against the clean EBR library vote. His spawn/CEO of @cajunindustries also don’t want the poors to have quality libraries #brgov

It’s gonna be funny if it comes out that @LAGovJeffLandry/@JeffLandry’s ex staffer turned Meta #lalege and #lagov lobbyist signed NDAs with Meta as a state employee
When we announced the Meta Data Center in Richland Parish, I said this investment would touch every inch of the community. This wasn’t just a catchy talking point— it was the truth. Great to see our teachers reaping the benefits of this massive announcement! knoe.com/2026/06/09/some-ric…

Jamie is a farmer, business owner, and longtime community leader. He’s served as Police Juror and Vice President of Tensas Parish. He’s not a career politician, but he is an experienced public servant. Vote for Jamie Davis on June 27 (early voting June 12-20). Let’s win this.

$2.6 billion for Hyundai alone. Nothing in this process is subject to public oversight. Meanwhile the public schools are forced to cannibalize themselves in order to stave off a teacher pay cut. nola.com/news/hyundai-louisi…

We, the Louisiana citizens, are paying them $2.6 billion. Just like we’re paying for carbon capture and data centers. We. Are. Paying them! And you better believe that ain’t the only cost to us. Oh… and they’re deciding how much of our money to pay them- in secret.
Louisiana officials signed an NDA, secretly negotiated with Hyundai and agreed to provide a package of incentives worth $2.6 billion, larger than previously known, per documents we obtained. Hyundai is building a $5.8b steel mill. My story: nola.com/news/hyundai-louisi…

As he is using them as a political pawn
I promised Louisiana's teachers a pay raise, and today we're delivering. For too long, teachers have been used as political pawns. That ends now.
