When Autodesk killed this program Softimage XSI, it gutted a core part of Japan’s game dev DNA. Studios had entire pipelines, scripts, & animation workflows around it. Its death forced costly retraining, migration to Maya, and years of lost efficiency in exchange for standardization. All Japanese documentation on it became obsolete overnight. It's in-part why Japanese videogame domination dissolved in the 2010s.
