digital, startups, active travel and other chat. London Cycling Campaign's Climate Safe Streets Champion for the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames
🚶♀️🚴CHALKER'S CORNER WALKING, CYCLING & WHEELING SURVEY 👩🦽
Join us and @RichmondCycling this Sat 9th July at our Chalker's Corner event!
We will be surveying cyclists, pedestrians & wheelchair users about action needed to improve safety and active travel at this junction 🛑🚸🚘
It was a joy to attend the @stmargaretsfair today. What a fantastic event - and it was an honour to help judge the dog show! Thank you so much to everyone involved.
Love the #ThisIsAwkward campaign! In Richmond we have a waiting list of over 700 people for bike hangars - they simply can't be rolled-out fast enough.
Another week, another awkward billboard goes up in Islington 👀
From closets to kitchens, #Londoners have been sharing pics of the weird places they keep their bikes due to lack of cycle parking.
HUGE thanks to everyone who's shared so far. Keep 'em coming using #ThisIsAwkward
Why are these Londoners cycling more & using cars less?
We spoke to ordinary Londoners about #ClimateSafeStreets & "those little sticks" popping up all over. Watch our video then demand more action in your borough today: lcc.org.uk/climateyoutu.be/gufyAgd4qQw
Good work, but I certainly hope that you're not stopping there @willnorman. We are concerned where budget for further improvement will come from and what will be done for those outer London boroughs, especially on routes not leading directly to EC1
When @SadiqKhan became Mayor, London’s cycle network was 90km long. Since then, we’ve added almost 250km of new routes, and we aren't stopping there.
This is a vital part of our plan to tackle air pollution, the climate emergency & congestion.
My blog about local issues in Chiswick traffic changes. "Somewhere, outside the little W4 bubble, where the 'single most important issue' is a short traffic detour, there is a climate and pollution emergency."

When this scheme in Orford Road #WFMiniHolland 1st opened, folks marched a coffin here predicting death of trade on this street. Several businesses here said losing parking out front would end them. That was 8 years ago. This was a mild March Sunday. Change is hard but worth it.
ALT Lots of people walking, sitting and milling about on Orford Road in Walthamstow including sitting outside a pub and cafés. A sign says no motor vehicles in the foreground.
