Big news (subject to contract) - from this Summer. Richmond will be increasing the number of e-bikes available to residents from 1,100 to 1,500. Our new provider, Forest will offer full access to EVERY neighbouring area & user PRICES (more in due course) are very exciting!

Richmond Council has set out the improvements to bus and train services it wants to see in the borough, after carrying out a review ‼️

Popped in to meet @SW_Help at Richmond Station (there until 8pm) about new railway timetable. Discussed weakness of Shepperton Line services, need for more services at Mortlake, North Sheen, St Margarets & Strawberry Vale… Twickenham Stadium match logistics. Have your say too!
SWR is overhauling its timetables for the first time in over 20 years. Whilst timetable changes won't solve all the issues with rail services in our area, it's really important to have your say. Details on SWR's info event on 4 June & my survey here: tinyurl.com/3fsdfvmr
Forest replaces Lime as Richmond’s e-bike provider in a phased transition from Monday, 1st June. This means lower prices for residents - download the Forest app for Richmond-specific deals.
Today is “Forest Day”. Richmond begins its move to @forestbike_uk provision - with a service will be bigger, more connected and better value for our residents and taxpayers. Make sure you take advantage of the introductory offers!
Interesting to see how @RFU have set out their stall regarding proposals for 15 concerts a year. Will keep engaging with residents over these plans and bring voice to their views, when applications are lodged. Fair to say, there are still understandable concerns amongst many.
Sadly, the experience for those making transport changes. I always say, “there are 2 things that everyone has a view on - weather & transport.” Opinions are all part of debate - but personal attacks require change-makers to have extremely thick skin… bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c0m2…
Couldnt agree more. Principles are principles. Sometimes you have to win power by imperfect means to effect an improvement in the very system that returned you. Those values matter and transcend narrow political advantage - or they do in the Lib Dems.
"In Twickenham and Richmond Park we now have every single councillor, but we don't have every single vote.
We'd welcome electoral reform in councils where we are overrepresented."
Lib Dem leader @EdwardJDavey calls for a fair voting system in his response to the King's Speech:

My thanks to residents, neighbours & friends of Isleworth for electing me as a councillor for the ward. I will work constructively & collaboratively with my Labour ward colleagues. Thank you to John Stroud-Turp for his public service for the ward over the last four years.
It's our superman, Roger Crouch. I'm going to go against the party line here... but his is the ONLY gain in the many London councils with previously zero Lib Dem councillors. He's done it through hard work and charm, but we need to do it so much better as a party.
By far my favourite result of these elections... my old friend of 30 years, and the lynchpin of Team Riverside 2018 with Julia Neden-Watts and me, Roger Crouch, is elected after a recount in Isleworth.
Roger becomes our first Hounslow councillor since 2010, and I'm ecstatic.
Just a handful of minor notes for the Reform UK masterminds behind this advertising wrap in the Richmond & Twickenham Times.
There is no Labour to get out in Richmond or Twickenham. The newspaper came out the day after the local elections. And - spoiler alert - people didn't.
