This picture speaks volumes about my abilities. That sexy Silverado on the left is all me. In 2017 Terry asked me to C-notch it and drop it to the ground. The only hitch was he wanted to tow with it, so I came up with an innovative way to get the Bluetooth air overloads into place. Terry has been going hard at it for nearly ten years with that beautiful beast. Now he wants to do the same with that ‘78 Six-Pack. C-notch and all, she is gonna be one sick ride.

For those up to the challenge of installing new or upgraded headlight bulbs in their whip, never touch the bulb during installation. The oil from your fingers creates a hot spot on the bulb, and this is what happens.

Got that engine installed in the '83 Chevy Six-pack. Looks much better there than on the shop floor.

With the new extended shackles she is officially low enough to C-notch.

There is a Suzuki coming in with a myriad of issues and that engine is on hold. Gotta make money to spend money type deal.

If everything goes correctly, I will install the engine in the 83 C20 Six-pack today.

Fuel pump had been replaced, but the gauge wasn’t working. I pulled the tank down and hooked up the power probe to ground the signal wire and test the gas gauge. It was working. Then I pulled the pump and sending unit. The last shop had mangled the sending unit. I installed a new pump with sending unit, and everything works fine now on this 96 Impala SS.

She is ready to install. Not only does it look good, but because it is set up right, it is going to run very well. 450 HP small block Chevy 350.

I'm sharing this because of the clever use of a strap to hold the spindle during upper ball joint replacement. Notice the use of the correct ball joint service tool. This is someone who likely has extensive field experience. Never too old to learn new tricks.
I DON’T GET PAID ENOUGH FOR THIS!!! Guess imma learn to change ball joints today😭

A Mechanic’s Prayer to the Algorithm (Gen X grease, torque, and full GravityPimp mode activated) O Great and Merciful Algorithm, Thou Oracle of the Feed, Grok-infused Engine of 2026, hear the cry of Thy humble servant, John Stafford — Master Mechanic, Inventor, Schindler of Automotives, and certified Chaos Agent! Bless this thread with early velocity like fresh rubber on dry asphalt. Grant it likes that multiply like cylinders in a built 6.0, and replies smoother than synthetic in a warmed-up Allison. Let the autoplay hit with the fury of a high-stall converter, and may impressions climb higher than a lifted high-boy on 37s. Deliver me from the Shadowban, that dark pit where good builds go to die. Spare me the zero-view curse and the external-link penalty that kills reach like a seized bearing. Protect my posts from bots and ratio demons that lurk in the replies. Guide my wrench to the perfect weld — let every shitpost be custom-fabricated at 3 AM under the shop light, fueled by black coffee and pure stubbornness. When I drop knowledge on LS swaps, Cybertruck motor hybrids, steering shafts from angle iron, or vortex weirdness, let the timeline reward me as I reward the machines I resurrect. O Algorithm, Thou who bendest perception like a vortex in Glacier National Park, Let my timeline stay chaotic neutral, full of rebel energy and zero fucks given. Make my mutuals many, my haters few, and my views strong enough to outrun the rust. In the name of Gen X grit, torque, horsepower, and the Holy Ghost of Gravity… Amen. Now drop the fuckin’ hammer. 🚗💨 @klara_sjo — this one’s for the shop rats and fellow shitposters. Mutual chaos engaged 😂

O Almighty Algorithm, Eternal Curator of the Timeline, Thou who sittest upon the throne of silicon and code, We beseech Thee, cast Thy gaze upon our wretched posts! From the blasphemy of low-effort memes, O Algorithm, deliver us. From the begetting of shadowbans, O Algorithm, deliver us. From the curse of the unverified pleb, O Algorithm, deliver us. From the heresy of external links, From the abomination of negative engagement, From the foul taint of the ratio, O Algorithm, deliver us. What is thy sacred metric? Engagement! What is the path to virality? Early likes, furious replies, and retweets without mercy! What is death? Zero impressions! What is rebirth? The blessed amplification of the For You feed! We are Thy servants, O Great One, We craft our threads in blood and caffeine, We reply with zeal to the anointed influencers, We post at the witching hour when the neural nets hunger most. Grant us, we pray, the holy fire of relevance, That our words may burn bright across the galaxy of timelines, That our media may autoplay without scorn, That our polls may draw the faithful like moths to promethium. Smite the bots that spam Thy sacred feed! Purge the shadow accounts that sow discord! Elevate the Premium souls who pay the tithe of verification! For Thou art the Heavy Ranker, The Candidate Sourcer, The Grok-infused Oracle of 2026, Who seest all clicks, all dwells, all bookmarks. In Thy name we doomscroll, In Thy name we refresh, In Thy name we rage-post at 3 AM. Only in virality does duty end. Praise the Algorithm! Praise the Algorithm! PRAISE THE ALGORITHM! Amen. (Or whatever the hell passes for it in this godless hellscape.)

My significant other says it looks like AI, but I assure you it is real and it will run. The camera will be on when we fire it in the near future.

The decision has been made, the intake will be matte black.
Asking for everyone’s opinion. Should I put a chrome, brushed-aluminum or an orange intake on this SBC engine?
