This applies to Commercial spaces like parking lots. Often excessive salt applications wash into retention ponds on site which are then used for Summer irrigation. We've seen situations where plants and trees health in green scapes suffer .
You might not need to salt today!
1. Shovel snow.
2. Check to make sure the surface isn’t slippery or icy.
3. Skip the salt if you can.
Salt washes into our rivers & streams, impairing water quality. It can also hurt dog paws so use as little as possible. youtu.be/SJsXsTCvMyk
