We're sticking around here, but as we're sure you can tell our tolerance for this platform has fallen off a cliff. We've also now moved over here, where we're likely to be a bit more active:
Update:
After ten wonderful issues we have taken the decision to have a break in 2025. Thank you so much to everyone who has been a part of Acropolis Journal so far, we are incredibly appreciative of all the support over the last few years 🏛

For this month's #twentyforecopoetry I'm sharing my poem 'Leaf Sheep', recently published in JMWW Journal 🍃
@twentyecopoetry #poetry#ecopoetry 💚
ALT Leaf Sheep by Bex Hainsworth
The image is of a green sea slug commonly known as a leaf sheep.
ALT The results were read over the phone,
Vitamin D abnormal, prescription:
supplements and sunlight.
I have too much North in my bones.
The Moors have knitted this skin
with limestone and malachite.
Leaf sheep are capable of kleptoplasty.
They slink across the sea floor,
feasting on algae which drips
sun like honeycomb. I come
from a family of wool traders,
inheriting these mollusc-kin.
If only I could perform such alchemy:
thread gold through my body, and carry
the weight of it back home.
We are OPEN for poetry submissions on the theme - "the body."
Send poems in the body of an email to roughdiamondpoems@gmail.com 🥳
Here are our submission details: roughdiamondpoetry.com/submi…
Spent my morning with In the Shadow of Gods by @DeeringRachel (@blackboughpoems). This is a beautiful collection which weaves together nature and myth, love and loss. It's made my little ecopoet heart sing 💚
'[T]hrough the fun of observing and naming things, they can become holy, especially if this observation and naming is done with [...] an openness of heart and spirit.' @BetaRish on new books by Rowan Ricardo Phillips, Carl Phillips & Anthony Vahni Capildeo

Periodic reminder that we are an anti-discriminatory platform. Racists, homophobes, anti-trans, bigots, should definitely avoid our poetry press. We’ll be staying on Twitter, for sure. No point withdrawing and giving voices of hatred and division more clout. ☝️
Here’s a poem of mine about my (still ongoing) Thames Walk - featuring ‘kennings’ which are compound words that were used a lot in Old English
Thank you @GreenInkPress 🌳

on blue islands, blue trees.
