Finished! Just in time for the beautiful bluebells to be in full bloom!
Iโm really happy with the shading on this embroidery. Bluebells look beautiful as sea of purple, but individually they arenโt the most exciting flower.

Swipe to the end for a bit of insta vs reality! I drove to the bluebell wood then realised Iโd forgotten to give my embroidery a blast with my hairdryer. I do this to remove the heat erasable pen lines I use to transfer the design to the fabric!

Iโm really enjoying embroidering florals in this close up realistic style at the moment!
I was thinking, itโs funny how even though my subject matter - flowers, has stayed consistent over my last few years of embroidering. My style of capturing these florals had changed lot.

When I first started embroidering I would stitch single stems of flowers in quite a cartoony style. Then I went through a phase of stitching flowers clustered in a meadow like scene.
I wonder my embroider will continue to evolve in the future?!

A new embroidered flower combination!! Deciding which flowers to embroider is a bit like deciding which flowers to pick for a bouquet! Not sure if Iโm any good at flower arranging, but I do like this combination! ๐๐๐ธ
Weirdly, despite most of my embroidery designs being of British wildflowers, most of my embroidery pattern sales are to American customers!
So I thought I'd design a new pattern with these lovely customers in mind! Welcome the Native American wildflower embroidery!
