After dropping their opening game, CSU battled back through the loser's bracket, defying the odds with four consecutive victories to earn a spot in the championship game. Three of those wins were dramatic come-from-behind triumphs, including a 12th-inning nail-biter, a 13th-inning marathon, and two walk-off celebrations that electrified the crowd. Meanwhile, Chico State, the nation's No. 1 team, dominated their bracket with a flawless 3-0 record, entering the final well-rested. Yet CSU's grit and resilience proved unstoppable.
