Big difference between lying about secret ministries, facts, and stats versus changing policy direction, goals, and forecasts.
The right and media need more than one neuron to understand the definition of a lie.
Deception is distorting what is or has been.
A promise, a goal, a forecast not met—a lie? No.
Changing direction based on current circumstances and not doggedly sticking to arbitrary campaign talking points from years ago, is that a lie? No.
The emotional intelligence of the media and some voters leads me to think we have become ungovernable.
At least for the rest of us, the pragmatic, progressive realists know that governing and reform take brains and strength to do what is right, not always what is popular.
Otherwise, what is the point of power if it's not spent for the betterment of all?

Why are taxpayers having to fund Anika Wells and another 11 MPs to attend the soccer World Cup in the USA ?
They add no value
Is Anika going to give them a pep talk before they take the field ?
Will she be a strategic advisor into tactics and team selections ?
Surely after all the rorting she’s been up to, that if she wants to go to the World Cup, she and other 11 MPs should be paying for it themselves.
Perhaps they know they are all going to wiped out at the next election by One Nation so I’ll rort everything they can in their time left ?

#BREAKING Jim Chalmers has labelled One Nation and the coalition a “a 3 ringed circus”
He then says that the Albanese Government is addressing “legitimate concerns” about whether our “kids and grandkids will have the same opportunities that we had” without mentioning that he has just changed the negative gearing and CGT tax break in the last budget.
He then goes on to call the far radical left Albanese Government “the sensible centre” of politics.
