Almost missed it but it's still #thicktrunktuesday where I am, so have a gander at this stocky fellow. Very much enjoyed the thick burry buttresses on this open grown oak near Allendale. @keeper_of_books @GregPackman

The next Chelsea manager will be the club's 24th (including caretakers) from 2000 onwards β€” which is more than the number of Popes there have been since 1722.

Where have the plane balls gone? This time of year, the mature seed clusters on plane trees should be disintegrating, covering the pavements and making everyone cough. But there's nearly no mature seed balls, just this year's flowers turning to seeds. Anyone seen any??

One of the ultimate flowering trees! The handkerchief tree! Also known as the dove tree, or ghost tree, or Davidia. Whatever your preference is really! A brief display of these stunning white leaf bracts which are modified leaves to attract pollinators to the globe flower
