312’s 2026 season has seen a record # of coaches crashing out on social media and press conferences. Pressure to do the job is at all-time high as is visibility and access. Time that up with Rev share/NIL/transfer portal and the concoction for an explosion is inevitable. Anytime I felt the urge to blame anyone other than myself, I would turn to a list of things that my buddies and I complied. Maybe WE sucked… Maybe it was our fault and not our players!!! We came up with 10-12 behaviors/systems/philosophies in that first sitting alone back in 2014. Now the list is at 53!! All of which we each admit to being guilty of at some point in our careers. I’ve been guilty of all 53… I will share the rest of the list in time, but literally saw a similar instance occur yesterday, so thought would share this one today. If you say you’ve shown someone something 1000 times and they still doing it wrong… you suck as a teacher… If you say they just did something you just told them not to do, then you didn’t explain it well enough… you suck as an explainer, not them as a listener… Maybe I’m wrong, but maybe I’m not. 🎶 share is from a band that caused a major shift in my musical taste…

The job Joe Gallo has done at Merrimack has been ridiculous. Won the NEC in the first season in transition from D2 to D1 in 2020, won the league two more times. Now in second year in the MAAC, Merrimack is 11-2 and in first place. Went 14-6 a year ago. Merrimack was picked to finish 7th, was voted as 8th best job in the MAAC by coaches. If I'm an AD in the Northeast, Gallo should be on list of top candidates.
