Every single thing this party does is about increasing tax An "Amazon tax" won't assist the high streets or back jobs It'll do the same as every other tax increase... negatively impact the economy, and cost jobs
Today, the @scottishgreens are calling on MSPs from all parties to back a new “Amazon Tax”. This is a chance for all parties to show that they are serious about backing Scotland’s high streets, supporting local jobs and making sure that global giants pay their fair share.

Brilliant The easiest way to not have to answer to your own record is simply to just shut down any possible scrutiny The worlds dictatorships would be proud 🥲
🧵You couldn't make it up. Amid the Peter Murrell and Indyref2 funding scandals, the SNP is proposing to take control of the Holyrood committees dealing with finance, criminal justice and public service reform by having its MSPs as both the convener and deputy convener..

Rocked up with a lawyer, to “hard hitting” Laura
People who want to dodge scrutiny and difficult questions do not do sit down interviews with Laura Kuenssberg.

He was literally found guilty of punching the policewoman in the face The misinformation around on this case is stoking all sorts of issues
I still don't understand how a jury didn't find the Manchester Airport men guilty. Unanimously. The video was unambiguous. One of them punched the policewoman in the face. No ifs. No buts. The defence was they feared the police were going to murder them. Who on earth on the jury thinks police randomly go about murdering people in the UK? Are people on the jury that gullible? I despair. Truly I do.

That's because, even the SNP have at least an element of economic literacy to comprehend what you're suggesting
The Greens were the only party at this election to say that we need to use our full taxation powers to raise more money, particularly from the wealth of the super-rich. We must explore all options for taxing wealth before cutting public sector jobs.

To be fair... If you can't get the bins empty, how can you be expected to run anything else I have long said, that the independence argument will be strengthened substantially by having a Holyrood that actually delivers for the people But its a gravy train, and it doesn't...
Scottish Unionists ambition for Scotland is emptying the Bins.

The mandate for the constitution lies with Westminster The Scottish Electorate were clear in what they voted for at the last Westminster election How does that fit with your “mandate”
There is a clear pro-independence majority in Scotland’s Parliament, elected democratically by the people of Scotland. Unionist parties should respect that mandate and stop blocking Scotland’s right to choose our own future.

Hahahahaha Nae bother
Response from Nicola Sturgeon posted to her social media: “My reaction to the guilty plea tendered today by my former husband is difficult to put into words. I am angry, hurt, sad and very distressed about the impact of his actions on family, friends and the SNP. To be deceived and let down by a husband I loved and trusted has caused me acute pain. Why he acted as he did is, and always will be, beyond my comprehension. To be clear: I had no knowledge or suspicion whatsoever that he was using SNP funds for personal purposes. I am utterly appalled that he did so and cannot begin to understand why. That I was fully cleared after a thorough investigation underlines that these are not my crimes. I was misled just as others were. I know that there will be political discussion in light of what has happened, and I understand why. However, for me this has also been a profound personal trauma. I need to remain focussed on recovering from that and building a new phase of life. I will be making no further comment.”

One vote was to the Parliament that holds the power of the constitution One wasn’t…
What an unbelievably stupid own goal from Labour. 👇 2024 Labour got 852,000 votes in Scotland. 2026 SNP got 877,000 votes in Scotland. Labour have no mandate to block a referendum.

I was not certain if it was possible to find a worse candidate for Finance Secretary than Robinson... But Swinney has managed it The louder Gilruth shouts, the higher the tax burden on the people of Scotland...

Do the SFA refereeing department get their league winners medals in the post? Or do they get to nip along to Parkhead to pick them up too?

A Green is the only party that makes any sort of sense given the new make up of the PretendyParliament However... god knows how either of these 2 can be trusted to have any ounce of impartiality...

Probably 2 and a half years, during which time none of the previous election bribes will materialise and Scottish services will continue downwards Then they’ll have maybe 12 months of crying about it Then 18 months of election bribery Then the election will come and repeat
How long do you think it will take the SNP independence supporters to realise they have been duped once again and there’s going to be no independence referendum. 🫵🤷🏼‍♂️ poor naive gullible fools. 🙄🤦🏼‍♂️🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

The way the Greens play the system of standing in so few constituencies, but picking up List seats shouldn’t be allowed BUT Had a certain party on the other side of the debate done exactly the same thing… we’d have had a far higher chance of a more functional Holyrood…

No common sense allowed in SNP Scotland…

The SNP’s skill is somehow positioning themselves as change (to themselves), blaming Westminster for all ills when usually the incumbent government suffers & forever holding independence as the pot of gold at the bottom of the rainbow. And people vote for it.

Yet the majority of the electorate regularly vote for Unionist parties They defy political cycles because their base is a single issue… Like the Deepbone Roundabout Splitting the unionist vote is the glaring fact
So many political commentators completely at a loss why SNP defy political cycles and norms, offering up loads of nonsense reasons. While they don’t want to accept to glaringly obvious fact, which influences it, Scotlands constitutional question is not settled

Airmiles Angus is probably the most competent politician that the SNP currently have, given Forbes is standing down... If the rumours are true, and Slater takes that seat off him, then it's really a damning indictment of the electorate

A re-elected SNP government will create a Better Surfaces Fund to support councils to fix potholes, resurface roads and improve drainage, helping deliver up to £350 million of investment in better roads across Scotland. Make it #BothVotesSNP on May 7 for a government that’s on your side.
