A new £20 note was released today, the reverse of which features a self-portrait of artist J. M. W. Turner (c.1799), a version of The Fighting Temeraire, the quote "Light is therefore colour" from an 1818 lecture by Turner, and a copy of Turner's signature as made on his will.

Not only have they been able to find their sea legs onboard @HMSQNLZ - but our trainees have been sharing the deck with #F35 ⚡️jets. This is exactly how it will be in the future when they deploy on #CarrierStrike operations with the frontline squadrons that they’ll soon join.

#OnThisDay 2010 the last ever @RoyalNavy Artificer Course passed out from @HMSsultan Engine Room Artificers were introduced to the RN in 1868. From 2010 on all RN Engineers are rated as Engineering Technicians in either the Weapon, Marine or Air Engineering trades.@RN_engineers

✅ Night flying too. Alongside the #F35 crews, our trainee 🚁 aircrew have been honing their night flying skills on HMS Queen Elizabeth too. The team from #824NAS has made huge leaps during their time onboard, putting all that they’ve learnt back at Culdrose into practice.
