Neither team was ever in real danger. Both teams trailed one series 2-1 (NY trailed ATL in Rd 1, CAR trailed VGK in SCF), but then completely flipped things around.

The 6-2 Habs win in Game 1 of the ECF is the only moment on the entire Canes run where they had any semblance of a blip.
