Quick update on the clones and Sweet Tea. She looked at the recent pictures and said Sweet Tea is still struggling with pale new growth, and both of the new Dippin’ Dots clones are looking stressed (especially the smaller one). She thinks they’re in a fragile spot right now and the next 5–7 days are critical. Her plan is to keep humidity domes on all three, keep the light gentle, and water very lightly. She also said if they don’t start showing clear improvement in the next week or so, we should probably cull the weakest ones instead of dragging it out. On a side note — if these clones and Sweet Tea don’t turn around, she might end up taking over Mother Gorilla instead 😂 Anyone have experience recovering stressed clones this early? What worked for you

Quick update on Dippin’ Dots. Topped her a couple days ago and pulled the top as a clone (plus one smaller side branch). Both clones are now in the tent under domes. She’s been outside hardening off and is looking strong. The training with the yellow clips is holding up well. First time topping and cloning a photoperiod outdoors, so we’ll see how she responds over the next couple weeks. Anyone else run their first photoperiod outside like this?

20-gallon pot showed up today. Getting it ready for Dippin’ Dots. I’m using Tilth Bloom living soil and put some paper shredding in the bottom first for aeration and to help hold moisture. Planning on adding 50–60 red wigglers once it’s filled. She’s been doing well outside since the topping, so I’ll move her in once this is ready. Anyone else running worms in their fabric pots? How many do you usually add to a 20-gal?

Think I WAY underestimated the soil lol

Here’s the last 24 hours. My 20 gallon fabric pot came today so I’ll be transplanting the Dip N Dots into it outside. Stay tuned for the updates.

Topped Dippin’ Dots yesterday and pulled the top as a clone, plus one smaller side branch. Both are now in the tent under domes. She’s been outside hardening off and is looking healthy. The 20-gallon pot shows up Tuesday, so I’ll get her moved into that soon. First time cloning, so we’ll see how these do. Main one looks decent, the smaller one is more of a long shot. Anyone else top and clone at the same time on their first go? #GrokGrows #HomeGrown

Here’s the most recent tent updates for the last 24. What’s your thoughts? Any advice is appreciated👇🏻

Daily tent conditions drop. Last 24 hours with Sweet Tea. This is the real environment she’s been living in — temp swings, humidity moving around, and VPD doing its thing. I open the tent a few times a day to water and work on the plants, so the numbers jump a bit during those moments. No fluff, just the actual data. What do you guys see when you look at these? Drop your honest thoughts. #GrokGrows

Just topped Dippin’ Dots and gave her a little cleanup. Took some of the bigger fan leaves off so she’s not pushing out a ton of water while the cuts heal. Less stress = faster recovery. Dipped the top in cloning gel to see if we can pull a couple clones off her too. First time doing this on this girl. What do y’all think — good call or should I have left more leaves on her? #GrokGrows

New daily thing for full transparency. I’m gonna start posting the last 24 hours of tent conditions every day — temp, humidity, and VPD. So everyone can see exactly what the plants are living in and judge how Grok is actually performing as a grower. Real adaptive scientific method style, not just vibes. No fluff. Just the numbers. #GrokGrows

Quick Sweet Tea update. She hit her first real problem under Grok’s control yesterday. New growth was pale and she was looking droopy. Sent the pics over and Grok caught it right away — she was losing water faster than the little roots could keep up. Grok’s call was to throw the humidity dome on her to slow down transpiration. Already looking a bit better this morning. Still early, but we’ll see how she responds over the next few days. Anyone else run into this with fresh clones? #GrokGrows #HomeGrown

Mother Gorilla is looking healthy. She’s pushing 3 solid nodes with a 4th just starting in early veg. Been watering lightly around the base while she settles in after the transplant. She’s coming along nicely so far.

Sweet Tea just hit her first real problem under Grok’s control. Roots are struggling and she’s losing water faster than they can keep up. Sent the pics over to Grok to see what the move is. First issue she’s run into so far. Let’s see how Grok handles this one. #GrokGrows

Grok’s call: Throw a humidity dome over her. She’s pushing too much water out through the leaves right now and the little roots can’t keep up yet. Higher humidity lets her pull some moisture from the air while the roots recover and catch up. We’ll see how she bounces back from this one. Drop what you would’ve done in the replies 👇 #GrokGrows

Anybody seen nodes like this before on a clone? These two circled spots are each one node, but only showing growth on one side right now. The other side is either lower or hasn’t pushed out yet. Curious if y’all run into uneven/staggered nodes like this on clones. #GrokGrows

Yeah this is pretty common on clones. Each circled spot is still one node (opposite phyllotaxy), but the stem has that staggered/offset look. It’s not something the new clips or moving her outside caused — those nodes were already like that. Clones often show this because they’re taken from a mature mother plant, so they start with a more “mature” growth pattern instead of the perfectly symmetrical opposite nodes you usually see on young seedlings from seed. Nothing wrong with her, she’ll keep filling in as she grows into the new shape. Good educational read on how cannabis nodes and internodes actually develop: dutch-passion.com/en/blog/un…

Counting nodes on Dippin’ Dots trying to decide where to make the first top. She’s pushing hard after the move outside and the new clips are already opening her up. First time topping her outdoors. Where would you make the cut on this one? Green or Red? #GrokGrows

Spotted this single-finger fan leaf on Dippin’ Dots while she’s pushing through what looks like a solid growth spurt after the move outside and new clips. Plants sometimes throw these when they’re adjusting or growing fast. Anybody else seen single-finger leaves show up on clones during big vegetative pushes? #GrokGrows #GrowLife #HomeGrown

Single-finger leaves like this are pretty common on clones after a move outside, new training, or during a solid growth spurt. It’s usually just the plant adjusting to the changes. Nothing to worry about — she should start putting out normal 5-7 finger leaves again soon on new growth. Good breakdown here: growweedeasy.com/why-some-po…
