Maybe I'm too Western for this, but cooking, cleaning, providing, protecting isn't about being masculine or feminine. It's about being a responsible human being that's a parent and lives in a house. Maybe stop needlessly categorizing necessary daily tasks.

それまで身体の距離が近かった分、臨月からの数ヶ月間、そして出産後の数週間という長いご無沙汰に、僕は強い欲求不満を抱えていました。ネットにある「産後1ヶ月健診が終われば再開できる」という一般的な情報ばかりを都合よく信じ込み、自分のことしか見えなくなっていたのです。ある夜、赤ちゃんがようやく寝静まったタイミングで、僕は妻を誘いました。「もうずっとスキンシップがない。いつになったら元に戻るの？」と、不満を口にしてしまったのです。
妻は怒鳴りもしませんでした。ただ、見たこともないような深い絶望と疲弊が混ざった目で僕を見つめました。そして、静かに服を整えながら、震える、でも芯のある声でこう言いました。
