30 years ago today. Saturday, June 15th , 1996. I remember trying to get to sportspages on that day with my 3 year old son ( near 4 ) and being told to get away , but still not knowing why. Sometime later, the bomb went off, first reaction was to throw my whole body over my son.

We were both OK, but like many others, panic set in. No mobiles back then, so it was a hunt for a phone box to phone the Wife , she had heard the actual bomb go off that was 5/6 miles away. A surreal moment in time.
