Trying out the new Chisel plough with wavey discs on the back in our winter feed ground. Does a great job…. Don’t think it will be returning to the dealer 😝

NZ media need a shake up. If butter prices are the worse thing happening in NZ then we are in real trouble as a country. If NZ Dairy farmer do well, our communities do well. Just worked out that we donate as our business $3,500 in calf donations to our local sport clubs, A&P

Show organisation and our kids school, $2000 in team sport sponsorship. Plus other donations adds up to $8k a year. These donations helps our community subsidise fees and helps those who can’t afford it.Without a strong Fonterra this wouldn’t happen. @TheCountry

And 12 months later I ticked off the Longest Day of the Coast to Coast. 243km from the West Coast to the East Coast of the South Island. Mentally and physically harder than I ever thought but now reflecting back a day later I am overwhelmed with what the body and mind can do!

Cows aren’t that happy with the alarm being 45min early! Got to be done before the kids are awake 🤞🤞. Merry Xmas to all the dairy farmers out there doing the same thing as me.

2023/24 season done! Pretty stoked with the result for our farm. 518kgMS/cow, 1925kg/ha and 7000kg MS above last season. 500/cow has been a target in my head for a few years so to knock it off was great. May this season was OAD so could have been higher but cows came first.

Been a hectic 7 months training for the 2024 C2C 2 day individual race, plus the farm and governance roles. Huge two days pushing myself, a far bit of resilience when I nearly snapped my kayak in half but I made it to the finish. Looking forward to a bit of down time now!
