One of the most interesting examples of fully onchain, permissionless IP right now is @cc0_mon by @SatoshisMom 👾
CC0mon is a 10,000-piece creature universe living permanently on Ethereum, with 260 species across 16 energy types.
But what makes it especially interesting is the structure around the project.
Every CC0mon is fully onchain, CC0, and public domain, meaning anyone can use the art, lore, species data, and characters to build whatever they want.
Games, trading cards, merch, dashboards, memes, lore, derivatives, apps, stories, even full businesses.
No approvals. No licensing fees. No gatekeepers.
The project already has a Species Index, public API, CC0dex, games, meme generators, collector leaderboards, trading cards, community art, and other tools built around the collection.
That’s where CC0mon starts to feel less like a normal NFT collection and more like an open creature universe anyone can expand.
And now, with “Awaken Your CC0mon” and ERC-8004 being teased, the project is also moving toward the idea of turning these onchain creatures into living agents.
Fully onchain creatures.
Open IP.
Public API.
Community-built tools.
Agentic lore expansion.

glad (not surprised) to see Wilder World still shipping
they were incredibly early to embrace AI and they're one of the smartest teams I've met
I think there's a real GTA 6 wave that they can ride to get eyes on their product - so if it's good enough, they can win.
We have opened the first version of the Wilder World Open World to the Public on Epic Games Store.
This is a major milestone that has been many years in the making.
Please consider this a soft launch. Rather than waiting for perfection and a full feature-set, we have shifted our strategy to focus on development velocity, launching new features regularly with feedback from Wilders. We believe in the end this will get us to the best product.
We are targeting a release cycle every two to three weeks and already have many more major features that will be released imminently (outlined in this Zine). Followed by this will be a new roadmap that will be released shortly, as well as our plan to accelerate the WILD token economy.
Accelerating our team and community with AI is an integral part of our strategy and starting to take shape. With the recent release of AURA, you will soon see AI systems start to come online for 3D asset generation, custom agents you can use in world, and much more.
Once we've hit our desired feature-set and core metrics later this year, we will plan a major launch on steam to the broader gaming community.
It's difficult to articulate the complexity behind this project and all of the technical, procedural and artistic accomplishments from the team.
We are sincerely grateful for everyone who has stuck with us over the years through the ups and the downs, as well as all team members (current and previous) who have touched the project. Everyone's dedication and care has been unwavering, despite external circumstances and difficulties! It is truly rare and precious.
While many people think our industry is dead and that the metaverse is over, for us this is the beginning.
It is a good day to be a Wilder.
No one can match our grind and commitment.

I think I've always been drawn to Web3 & NFT culture because, at its best, it is PURE ORGANIC HUMAN EXPERIMENTATION. Anyone with a creative idea can build a project, a community, a movement. I love that empowerment.
Sure, at its worst, it's the same thing that draws in all the scammers, but I'll always be here to support real builders & hunt for signal in the noise.
