‘An almanack or prognostication for… 1658’ (S PAM 173) by Sarah Jinner of London who wrote a series of almanacs 1658-1664. Thought to be one of the first women to be a professional writer. Aimed at educated people, they included forecasts & medical remedies for women.

Describing itself as ‘The Library of London History’, @GuildhallLib is holding a series of talks, walks, and literary viewings throughout 2025 to celebrate 600 years since it was founded. The City Corporation-owned library focuses on London history and houses the largest collection devoted to a single city in the world, as well as collections on early printed books, English law, Parliamentary records, business history, and maritime records. #DestinationCity bit.ly/4hHndCZ

A class from St Thomas’s Academy enjoyed a workshop yesterday about the Great Plague of 1665. They were shown original materials up close that recorded statistics, official orders & remedies. They were excited to see – as a novelty – the world’s smallest dictionary! 📚📜🌟
