Optimus robots are going to perform a tremendous amount of work on the Moon and, I predict, on Mars as well.
Not every task needs to be fully anticipated and pre-programmed. In many situations, a human operator could directly control an Optimus unit in real time to handle specific, spontaneous, or complex “cerebral” tasks—situations where there simply isn’t time to define every parameter in advance.
Sitting comfortably on Earth (or in a habitat on Mars or the Moon), a person could step in, take the controls, and guide the robot with human intuition, judgment, and creativity exactly when it’s needed most.
